Weiler Receives New ISO 9001:2000 Certification

Weiler Corporation, a manufacturer of power brushes, abrasives and maintenance products, has been awarded ISO 9001:2000 quality certification by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc., an accredited ISO registrar. This certification is an upgrade from the original ISO 9001:1994 certification Weiler has successfully maintained since 1996.

ISO 9001 is a series of Quality Management Standards published by the International Organization for Standardization headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. ISO 9001 is the most comprehensive standard and is a model for quality assurance in design, development, production, installation and servicing.

In 2000, ISO re-wrote the standard to include higher importance on top management involvement in the company's quality system and on customer satisfaction through understanding customers' requirements, keeping customers informed and measuring customer satisfaction.

ISO 9001:2000 certification assures customers that Weiler products are manufactured within a uniform and consistent quality system from the time an order is placed until shipment.
