Weiler Corporation Receives Top Industry Award

Weiler was named a recipient of the esteemed American Eagle Award by the Industrial Supply Manufacturers Association (ISMA) for "Outstanding Program - Employees." ISMA represents nearly 600 member companies in the United States and Canada that manufacture a variety of maintenance, repair, and production supplies used in industry. Annually, ISMA members are recognized in four categories for "promoting the basic concepts of free enterprise: America's foundation and future."

This year's Eagle award is added to previous outstanding program awards for Weiler Corporation: "Employee Enrichment and Involvement" in 2002, "Corporate and Community Education" in 2001, "Overall Excellence" in 2000, and "Community Involvement" in 1996. In addition, a $500 scholarship from ISMA will be awarded to a deserving student within the Weiler organization.

When the winners were announced at the 2003 ISMA Spring Convention, Weiler was cited for its commitment to "promoting the basic concepts of free enterprise to its employees." Accepting the award on behalf of the Weiler organization, Jeff Welday, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, said, "We believe that people are our most important asset. To be recognized by this group of our peers for outstanding employee programs two years in a row is extremely rewarding."
