Weiler
Awarded American Eagle for 2002
for Promoting the Concepts of Free Enterprise.
For the third year in a row, the Industrial Supply Manufacturers Association
(ISMA) recognized Weiler Corporation for contributions in promoting
the concepts of free enterprise. The American Eagle Award committee
presented Dick Gommel, President and COO of Weiler, a plaque and a $500
Scholarship award for "Outstanding Program Directed Toward Employees".
With internal programs that focus on "well care", education and gainsharing
(sharing of profit enhancing actions), Weiler continually emphasizes
the importance of the contributions the co-worker makes to the organization,
the community and the marketplace. Weiler awards the scholarship to
a co-worker's son or daughter based on essays written on the free enterprise
system. ISMA represents nearly 600 member companies in the United States
and Canada that manufacture a variety of maintenance, repair, operating
and production supplies used in industry.
