Weiler Corporation Receives American Eagle Award For Overall Excellence!

For the second time, Weiler Corporation has been awarded the esteemed American Eagle Award for Overall Excellence! The Industrial Supply Manufacturers Association (ISMA) presented the top award to Weiler on May 23, 2004. ISMA represents nearly 600 member companies in the United States and Canada that manufacture a variety of maintenance, repair, and production supplies used in industry. Each year, top ISMA members are chosen based on their company's activities promoting the principles of American free enterprise. ISMA made their decision to award top honors to Weiler based on numerous programs and activities in several categories, including:

• Local community projects such as the donation of a building for the new Barrett Friendly Library, restoration of the Demillion Building and support of social services and non-profit organizations.

• Environmental improvement and conservation efforts, including our plant-wide recycling program, participation in Adopt-a Highway, environmental landscaping and waterlife protection.

• Employee enrichment and involvement programs, such as Gainsharing and the Preventive Maintenance Team

• Community/corporate educational commitment, including training offered through Weiler U and the tuition reimbursement program.

Winning this award does not come without outstanding and consistent effort, proving it is not so much about the products we manufacture as it is about who we are as a company. Truly, a model of free enterprise at work. Accepting the award on behalf of Weiler, Dick Gommel, President and C.O.O., said, "Receiving this award for the second time is a tribute to our co-workers and their unwavering dedication to both the company and the community."

The 2004 "Overall Excellence" award is the latest to be added to Weiler's growing list of ISMA American Eagle awards:

Along with a new American Eagle statue, Weiler also received $1,000 in scholarship funds to be awarded to a Weiler co-worker or family member.
